Create a client report

A report is a snapshot for one group of websites: how available they were, how fast they loaded, which incidents happened and, when you track them, how the Google rankings moved. Your client gets a web page, a PDF and an email. The numbers stay as they were on the day you created the report.

Create a report in the app

  1. Create a group for the client and add the domains. A report always belongs to one group.
  2. Open Reports and choose New report, or start from the group. Pick the group and give the report a name, for example “Monthly report for the client”.
  3. Choose the frequency, the sections and an optional comment. Save. Recipients are set on the group and apply to every report of that group.
  4. On the reports page you can create one immediately for a period you choose. It lands in the archive. fastry sends the email when you choose Send, or automatically on the schedule.

Settings

Frequency

Monthly (on the 1st, 08:00) from Starter, weekly (Mondays, 08:00) from Agency, or manually only. The period is the previous month or the previous week. The time follows the workspace.

Sections

Summary, uptime, incidents, response time, performance (Core Web Vitals), deployments, rankings, SEO and technology, and an outlook with to-dos. Rankings appear when the workspace tracks keywords. Each section compares the period with the one before.

Comment for the client

A short note in your own words, for example what you changed and what improved.

Copy to me

You receive the same email as the recipients.

Recipients

On the group: viewers of that group, or email addresses without an account. They get the report and a link to unsubscribe.

Logo and colors

From Agency, the report uses your logo, color and sender name. A group can add the client’s logo next to yours.

Create a report from the API or MCP

You can create the same report without the form. Your own program uses the HTTP API. An AI assistant uses the MCP server. Both use the API key from API & Webhooks and the header Authorization: Bearer and the key.

Over MCP, ask the assistant to create the report and name the time range. The tool is create_report. Your own program does the same through the HTTP API. Both use the API key and the header Authorization: Bearer. The address and the header are in the MCP guide.
